Road Block Agitates Traffic in Taft Avenue

TroubleThe recent experimental traffic schemes of MMDA head Bayani Fernando have caused more harm than good. This is evident in the heavy traffic that has escalated in Taft Avenue because of the newly installed roadblock across the Estrada and Taft Avenue intersection. Within this year, Bayani Fernando has made a lot of changes with the flow of traffic, in particularly, the traffic along Taft Avenue. He changed the traffic flow in Taft-Buendia intersection, and Taft-Pedro Gil intersection. It hasn’t really bothered the students of La Salle, CSB or St. Scholastica, but due to the latest changes along Estrada, the traffic has been increasing.

DLSU View Aside from that, students of DLSU are having a hard time going around the road block since they did not only close that part of the road from cars but also from pedestrians. The traffic is no longer in that area but it has moved to the island break between Carls Jr and the North gate where the cars that weren’t able to take a left form Estrada St. are now making their u-turn. The people affected are complaining and hoping that there would be changes made to benefit everyone.
