AC-DC in the Closet

Text by: Eric Cruz | Photos by: Nikki Lañas

eye Who says that the term “closet” can only used for homosexuals? They’re definitely mistaken. Break into in the hidden world of “Ohmar Bacat” and the unknown reality called “Closet Bisexuality” or the hidden desire for both sexes.

Most people would usually associate the term “closet” to homosexuality. But, Ohmar simply discredits that because according to him he is a “certified closet bisexual.” He is not even a straight guy trying to hide his desire for the same sex. He is a self-confessed homosexual, who finds attraction towards the opposite sex. the darkroom

Since he was a kid, he already knew that he is a homosexual. But this desire for the opposite sex only started when he went to college. He felt an unexpected attraction towards his female classmate, whom he would like to call “Cynthia.” He thinks that it is weird for him to fall in love with a girl because he is sure that he is a homosexual. This “weird feeling” is what he would like to negate. According to him, “it is a reality that any person would have to confront.”

One of the reasons why he keeps his attraction towards the opposite sex is because of social labeling. Most people know that he is open about his homosexuality and being attracted towards the opposite sex would mean deviating from his “real preferences.” On one part, he considers this stereotyping. All that matters to him now is how to handle the situation after all he considers this to be a phase in his life.

Weird? It’s up for you to decide and for him to confront. But for now, here’s what he has to say: “sex is fluid, parang…haaaaa!”
